History

Several years ago I had a bizarre experience which has since been described as ‘Kundalini’; a term as unfamiliar to me as the strange events which followed. Essentially the experience ‘opened me up’ to such an extreme that I have had what I refer to as ‘heightened sensitivity’ ever since; this allows me to ‘sense’ or ‘mirror’ physiological and psychological symptoms within humans and animals. It also enables me to act as a conduit for energy or currents which can restore health in the subject being treated.

These abilities did not materialise instantaneously. The first year or so was extremely frightening as I was hearing and seeing things that scared me and did not seem possible; voices of people around me when I was alone; precognitive experiences; acutely sensing a physical or emotional feeling which was not my own when someone drew close to me. I suffered severe headaches which were relentless and for which painkillers provided no relief. I even had cat scans to identify any possible abnormalities within my brain (the results were negative).  Life became quite difficult.

Until this time I had strictly been ‘a man of science’. I did not believe in anything outside of the realm of physical science and yet here I was being presented with something that could not necessarily be explained by this realm, as we understand it, and which I could not deny. It couldn’t have happened to a more extreme sceptic. The unusual phenomena that I was experiencing forced me to reconsider my entire belief system. With perseverance and the support of my family and certain friends I was able to manage the situation. I started to conduct some research into what could possibly be happening to me. Whilst continuing to undergo such experiences, and after countless months of investigation and deep contemplation, I eventually started to adapt to my new world. The unfamiliar became familiar and enabled me to look at these events with fascination rather than fear.
As part of my research I came across the subject of healing. It sounded interesting and, to the degree of sensation through touch, bore a resemblance to some of the experiences I was having. I started trying it out for myself by simply laying my hands on an animal or a person and astonishingly it seemed to have a remarkable effect.

It wasn’t long before I came into contact with horses and I realised that I could sense what was physically wrong with them in the same way that I could pick up on human conditions, despite the relative physiological differences. Shortly afterwards, I discovered that I was also able to successfully alleviate, if not heal a particular condition in a horse, primarily through touch, but also via other communicative techniques which seemed to work in certain situations.

I started to feel overwhelmingly drawn to horses and they have been my main focus ever since. These days I often work with both horse and owner as the two are surprisingly interdependent. Often the owner can be the reason behind a horse’s misbehaviour and both need to be dealt with accordingly in order to resolve the problem.
